Re: 3d in C++

Just know, the PSPSDK that is not from the CYGWIN has a messed up gu header file that makes it so about 90% of the eboot you compile make the game print twice, side by side. Really strange, but it does. I posted a lot on a thread somewhere about it, and i think the only solution is to use the CYGWIN and get the fully updated SDK. If you can't get CYGWIN to work, like me even though i have tried about 20 times, you either have to accept 3d lua, deal with the compilations and just retry until it works, or just not even bother (hopefully you choose option one or two.) I realize you might just have CYGWIN, but this is for anyone who might not.

I digress, the link you found is probably the best. Also, if you learn 3d lua, you will find that there are many similarities. Also, i'm quite good at DirectX and OpenGL programing for windows and there are many ideas and even some syntax that will carries over. Just some ideas.

Re: 3d in C++

Are you talking about 3D principles? Or learning a specific 3D graphics library?

Re: 3d in C++

im running linux and been workingg with the PSPSDK for a while. So i dont have to worry about cygwin..
Also for anyone who is going to follow that tutorial, look at his MLT its not the same as what most .obj converters will have. So follow this http://people.sc.fsu.edu/~burkardt/data//mtl/mtl.html to convert your model.

What i want to learn is how to... Not create land, but maps. Such as, how to place an object on a plan. i understand how to load, and make the object show in the center, but how do i make it through out the land?
