Hi everyone (remember me? :P)

Hey everyone, some of you may remember me, im the noob who got into game development via lua 3 years ago... with my horrible failure project, but it was a good learning start Smile Well, several projects later (and many failures LOL), here I am. Well anyways, I just wanted to see if anyone still remembered me and show everyone what i've been up to Smile

well, I went back to c++ shortly after lua (more like relearned it, I new barely anything about c/c++ 3 years ago). My c++ psp development didn't last very long, I soon switched to cross platform PC development with a combination of SDL and OpenGL. I continued on to write myself a solid 2D/3D game api using SDL and OpenGL, and now i use it in all of my game projects.

My most successful project was for school haha. I had one coder (myself) and 2 modelers for this game. It's a 3D first person shooter, no violent weapons or blood because it was for school Cry. well anyways, It was my final project for the semester, it took me and my group 2 weeks to complete. I know it's not very impressive to all you pros out there and your shiny graphics, but good enough for me haha (Me and my low standards). I'll attach the screenshot, because the image thingy won't work.

Anyways, my latest project is a small-scale 2D online game. I guess you could call it an MMO, but that depends on whether or not i decide to get a nice server. I have a little prototype server and client built, and for now my computer is the server haha. So far it just shows all the map objects and you can move around the world. It's just an action space game, I don't expect any more than a learning experience from it, and I do enjoy working on it Smile. It is my first multiplayer game project, and it's coming along a lot quicker than i thought it would.

Well that's all I have to say, and I wonder how many of you actually read this entire message haha. Well, I hope this isn't too much of a rambling post  moderators? Anyways, I hope some of you remember me!

Just in a fps view Wink Nice job.
But yeah i remember you Tdude, the rpg mistake wasn't it? (I.e your were making an rpg straight of that bat.)

But atleast you've learnt and well any 3d game is impressive (Y).
I guess though that this means your not going to come back to the PSP scene then?

Re: Hi everyone (remember me? :P)

Thanks, and yup, the rpg mistake haha.

I'm probably not going to go back into psp dev, but in theory by changing a few lines the game API i wrote should work for psp too (although I've never actually tried opengl or sdl on the psp). Maybe one day... but the psp is getting kind of old, It'll be any day now that another portable console comes out to top it. But maybe if I get bored enough I'll fire up my pspdev and check if my API can be ported to the psp :P. (Or convert all that opengl into pspGU D:)
