Title: NEW WINDOWS LUA PLAYER
Post by: Crazy coder on September 06, 2006, 05:07:37 AM
Hi

I was browsing the lua player forums when i came across a new version of lua player!

Heres all the info!

Done so far:
-Updated to Lua 5.1
-Freetype supported
-System.rename working
-Wlan functions stubbed in, but don't do anything yet.
-3D GU functions stubbed in, but don't do anything. I'm not going to take the 3D any further as Shine has already expressed he is moving Lua Player over to PSPGL

To do:
Hopefully get Wlan functions to fully function, pretty sure it's possible.

Never going to be supported (or very unlikely at the least):
-System.loadModule and anything to do with it

thats all the info and heres the link - http://www.psp-programming.com/animate/lpwindows-0.20a.rar (http://www.psp-programming.com/animate/lpwindows-0.20a.rarNew windows lua player)

and heres the thread - http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=6327&sid=dcde54da41761ca27936ad0678da7c20 (http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=6327&sid=dcde54da41761ca27936ad0678da7c20)

Enjoy!

Thanks for the announcement!

As Soulkiller mentioned, I'm known by Insert_Witty_Name on the ps2dev.org forums.

(New version has been uploaded recently, with the missing freetype dll)

Should make testing your lua programs a bit easier now  ;)

A new tool is always appreciated; thanks Insomniac!  Now if only someone could make a Luaplayer for Mac.

Next will be to try and add Wlan functionality so you can test those functions too. Although I am unsure if this is 100% possible yet.

A Mac version is a possibility.

I'm trying to get the SDK to install on one of the Mac's at work, but am having issues with getting Fink and an SVN client to work through the proxy.
